What is Coaching? Coaching virtually unheard of a few years ago, is a professional partnership between a qualified coach and an individual or group that supports growth based on established goals. Designed to meet the lifestyle goals of the working class population, coaching is a useful tool to deal with the many challenges and changes individuals are faced with. Based on the idea that negative attitudes (fear, anger, anxiety) and lack of knowledge, skills (lack of follow-through), and support limit individuals from achieving their highest potential, coaching directs attention to the skills and actions needed to successfully produce personally relevant results. What Can Coaching Do For You? Coaching increases clarity, accelerates growth and enhances an individual's quality of life. Consistently committed to yourself and enhancing your life, through coaching you will be able to:
1. Identify and realize personally set goals
2. See positive outcomes in areas of effectiveness and productivity
3. Achieve personal satisfaction
4. Acquire a balanced and fulfilling life
5. Live life with purpose and passion.
The heart of coaching is based on the idea that an individual has the ability to tap into an unlimited source of awareness and energy to achieve positive life results. A coach can guide and mentor an individual, through asking powerful and thoughtful questions, supporting you in realizing your personally set goals. Every thing that is talked about is strictly confidential therefore, allowing you to be open and specific.

What is the Differrence between Coaching and Therapy? Professional coaching is a distinct service which focuses on an individual's life as it relates to goal setting, outcome creation and personal change management. While positive feelings/emotions may be a natural outcome of coaching, the primary focus is on creating actionable strategies for achieving specific goals in one's work or personal life. The emphasis in a coaching relationship is on action, accountability and follow through. One of the fastest growing fields, coaching can be done via the web, telephone/teleconference or face-to-face.
In comparison, therapy deals with healing pain, dysfunction and conflict within an individual or a relationship between two or more individuals. The focus is often on resolving difficulties arising from the past which hamper an individual's emotional functioning in the present, improving overall psychological functioning, and dealing with present life and work circumstances in more emotionally healthy ways. Therapy outcomes often include improved emotional/feeling states.
